Beware: Cholesterol-lowering STATINS - The STATIN side effects include muscle pain and weakness! The muscle-related side effects can even be deadly!
But for some patients, statins cause muscle problem side effects, including muscle weakness and pain. And, in rare cases, these side effects of statins can escalate to debilitating and even life-threatening damage.
Now a study led by investigators at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), helps explain these statin side effects.
